King John's Castle (Limerick)
King John's Castle ( Irish Caisleán Luimnigh ) is a castle from the 13th century on the island of King's Iceland at Shannon in Limerick , Ireland . Even though there has been a fortification at this point since 922, when the Vikings lived on the island, the castle itself was built by order of King John in 1200.
