Church of Loen
The Church of Loen (Norwegian Loen kyrkje ) is a listed church of the Evangelical Lutheran Norwegian Church in the village of Loen in the Norwegian municipality of Stryn .
It is located in the eastern part of Loen.
Architecture and history
Already since the time around 1330, according to other information 1360, there was a church at this location. The stone cross next to the church dates from the earliest times of the Christianization of Norway. The medieval church was probably built as a stave church. It was replaced by a small wooden church in the first half of the 17th century. The current church was built in 1838, according to other sources in 1837.
The church has 190 seats.
