The Kirchplatz is a square in Trier in the Pfalzel district . It is located between Burgstrasse in the west and Residenzstrasse in the north.

The name is derived from the collegiate church located here , which characterizes the square.

There are also four other cultural monuments around the square , including the St. Nicholas Chapel from the 15th or 16th century. On the square there is also the so-called Küsterhaus, the oldest still inhabited Roman stone house in Germany . Klosterstrasse also runs close to the square , so that parts of the monastery tavern reach the square.
