Parish of Olfen
Parish Olfen was a parish in the Lüdinghausen district in North Rhine-Westphalia until 1974 . Today your area belongs to the city of Olfen in the Coesfeld district . The community was one of the "parish communities" occurring several times in the Münsterland , which comprised the rural area around an urban church.

The parish parish of Olfen enclosed the city of Olfen and last had an area of 44 km². It consisted of the peasantry Kökelsum, Rechede, Sülsen and Vinnum.
history
After the Napoleonic era , the area of the municipality initially belonged to the Olfen mayor in the Lüdinghausen district founded in 1816. With the introduction of the Westphalian rural community order in 1844, the mayor's office of Olfen became the Metelen office , to which the city of Olfen and the parish of the parish of Olfen (also known as the rural community of Olfen ) belonged. By the Münster / Hamm law , the town and parish of Olfen were merged on January 1, 1975 to form the new town of Olfen.
