Kirchtal (Münsingen)

Kirchtal is a district in Münsingen in the Reutlingen district in Baden-Württemberg . It is colloquially called "Little Moscow" .

On December 18, 1989, the state government decided to build 600 residential units for repatriates from the Soviet Union .

Residents

Before Kirchtal was built, Münsingen had around 11,800 inhabitants. When around 2,000 new citizens moved in at the time, the city had over 14,000 inhabitants at the end of the 1990s.

Today around 2 to 3,000 people live in Kirchtal. The majority of the residents have a Russian or Kazakh migration background .

The quarter is located in Münsingen on the outskirts, towards the road to Trailfingen.
