Kirkbi A / S is a Danish stock corporation based in Billund , which acts as a holding company for the equity investments and as a vehicle for the financial investments of the family ( Family Office ) of Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen , a grandson of the Lego founder and long-time head of the toy manufacturer.

Kirkbi holds (as of 2016) the trademark rights to Lego, 75% to Lego A / S (the rest belongs to the Lego Foundation), 100% to Kirkbi Invest A / S, 29.9% to Merlin Entertainment (Legoland and other leisure facilities) , 31.5% in the Borkum Riffgrund 1 wind farm (the investment is worth around 3 billion Danish kroner). Kirkbi has further long-term interests in the Danish facility management group ISS , the private Danish fire and rescue service provider Falck , the German-American fire protection company Minimax-Viking and the Danish drugstore chain Matas . Until 2015, Kirkbi held a minority stake in the Danish house builder HusCompagniet . In addition to investments in companies, Kirkbi is also involved in 20 properties, mostly office buildings, in Denmark, Great Britain, German-speaking Switzerland, Germany and the Czech Republic.
