The Kishumundu Secondary School is a private school in Kishumundu, a village at the foot of Kilimanjaro . The village is near the city of Moshi in Tanzania . The school was founded in 1986 and is run by the Catholic Diocese of Moshi . The school is mainly attended by children from the coffee-growing smallholders in the eastern Uru region . Day and boarding school students of both sexes and of all denominations are taught together. In the school leading to the intermediate educational qualification, classes from Form I to Form IV with different emphases in the branches Arts (mathematics, geography, history, social studies, English, Kiswahili, religion, economics, accounting, biology and health and computer use) and sciences ( the same subjects, plus chemistry and physics). The school will u. a. supported by the German association Helfen macht Schule.
