Hinged clamp

The eyelet can be opened to insert the rope

A hinged block is a special form of the pulley of a cable pull . Like an ordinary roller block, it consists of a pivoting deflection roller which is enclosed by a fork. At the upper end of the fork there is a hook or eye to anchor the hinged clamp to a fixed point.

As a special feature, a fork arm is designed to be foldable. A rope no longer has to be threaded through the fork in its entirety; it can be quickly placed on the side of the pulley or removed.
