Horst Ehmann

Horst Ehmann (born February 7, 1935 in Heilbronn ) is a German legal scholar .

Ehmann studied from 1955 to 1973 at the University of Heidelberg . After completing his doctorate , he completed his habilitation as a student of Hermann Weitnauer there . In 1975 he re-founded the law faculty at the University of Trier together with Volker Krey , Walter F. Lindacher and Peter Krause . Since then he has been a full professor and held the chair for civil law and labor law . From 1978 to 1988 he was a part-time judge at the Higher Regional Court in Koblenz . Ehmann retired on February 28, 2003 ; He held his farewell lecture on February 7, 2003 on the system of causa teaching ( JZ 2003, 702 ff.). Thomas Raab is the successor to Ehmann's chair .
