Hermann Weitnauer

Hermann Weitnauer (born July 18, 1910 in Munich ; † September 9, 1999 ) was a German lawyer and university professor who dealt in particular with the Condominium Act .

Life

Weitenauer studied after the Abitur Law and graduated in 1932 with the first and 1935 with the second state exam from. 1934 took place its graduation to the doctor of law at William Laforet at the University of Würzburg with a thesis on the subject of state intervention in contracts . In 1935/36 he worked in the judicial service of Bavaria, in 1937 he worked in the law of obligations department in the Reich Ministry of Justice . From 1965 until his retirement in 1978, Weitnauer was a full professor of law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg .

In 1985 the Institute for Foreign and International Private and Commercial Law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg published the commemorative publication Unity in Diversity: Professor Dr. Hermann Weitnauer on his 75th birthday . In 1990 another Festschrift for him and Johannes Bärmann was finally published with the title Festschrift for Johannes Bärmann and Hermann Weitnauer , which was edited by Wolf-Rüdiger Bub .
