Claw (technique)

The claw is a hook-shaped tool or machine part with which other parts (e.g. in a coupling , see claw coupling ) can be grasped or moved. The claw is often part of machine elements, e.g. B. of gears ( dog box ).

In valve construction, claws are used in hose couplings. They are also used in wood processing .
