Half-timbered structure with visible wickerwork, coated with clay on the reverse

Kleiber was responsible for everything “patching and pasting” in medieval house construction. They provided compartments or fields of a half-timbered house with wickerwork, straw, pipe or thin rafters, filled them with clay, mortar and the like, and plastered them. The so-called "Humpeler", unskilled workers, helped them and also took care of the material delivery.
