Small-angle scattering under grazing incidence

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Small angle scattering at grazing incidence (engl. Grazing-incidence small-angle scattering , GISAS ) is a physical measurement technique for the investigation of thin layers and interfaces.

Either X -ray radiation ( ... x-ray scattering , GISAXS ) or neutron radiation ( GISANS ) is diffracted . The method is related to reflectometry , with small-angle scattering on volume samples, and especially with diffractometry under grazing incidence .
