Kleitor (eponym)

Kleitor ( Greek  Κλείτωρ ) is a figure in Greek mythology .

He was a son of Azan and grandson of Arkas , which shows his homeland. As the most powerful prince of Arcadia , he subjugated Kynosura and founded the city of Kleitor in the northwest of the region, which he made his residence.

In another version of the legend, Kleitor is one of Lykaon's fifty sons .
