The Blankenstein Clinic , formerly the St. Elisabeth Hospital , is a special hospital in Hattingen-Blankenstein . The clinic is sponsored by the Katholisches Klinikum Bochum gGmbH.

history

Blankenstein Clinic

The clinic opened in 1884. As early as 1914, a lying hall for climatic therapy was set up by the "convalescent association" in the hospital.

Facility

One of the main focuses is naturopathy, one of only seven clinics nationwide where inpatient naturopathic complex treatment is possible. There are also pain therapy, rheumatology, diabetology and outpatient gastroenterology. In 2018 approx. 3500 inpatients and approx. 5000 treated on an outpatient basis. More than 200 people are employed.
