The Kaufbeuren Clinic is a hospital in the north-west of Kaufbeuren in Bavaria . Its sponsor is Kliniken Ostallgäu-Kaufbeuren , an institution under public law supported by the city of Kaufbeuren and the district of Ostallgäu. The clinic is a plan hospital according to the hospital plan of the Free State of Bavaria.
With 360 beds, it has around 20,000 inpatients and 45,000 outpatients per year. In addition to surgical and internal medicine departments, the hospital also has a women's and children's clinic. Documentation departments exist for ear, nose and throat medicine and urology. The facility also includes a station for palliative medicine . The Kaufbeuren Clinic is a teaching hospital of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and operates a nursing school.
