Knowe of Burrian (Frotoft)
The Knowe of Burrian is a badly damaged Broch in Frotoft on the Orkney island of Rousay in Scotland .
Part of the coastal broch was torn from the sea and the rest was used as a quarry, but fragments of masonry along the shore indicate that it is a broch. A steep, approximately 2.0 m high hill represents the northern section. An outer wall lies behind a naust on the west side (a corresponding naust is on the east side).
The name Knowe of Burrian also occurs in a brochure in Netherbrough (Garth Farm) on Mainland .
