Knowledge Service

Under Knowledge Service Providing means the provision of documented and commented content knowledge content via the Internet . It is the logical continuation of the so-called information services.

While with the classic information services a special piece of information or data is made available to an interested party as content, message or report, with the knowledge service it is no longer the information, but the presentation of "knowledge" or knowledge (ie linked to sources provided and commented data and information), which is transported to the user.

Basically, both the information service and the knowledge service provide topic-specific content via source study and empirical research:

  • detected
  • analyzed, verified and falsified
  • processed
  • provided with references
  • made available electronically to a paying community.

Examples of information services would be:

  • Weather and alerting services
  • economic news services like Bloomberg, Reuters
  • scientific measurement and evaluation services.

The delivery object with the knowledge service is therefore electronically processed content. The difference is that with the provided overall dossier, in-depth analysis procedures, functionalities of the document and content management, an operational further use of the provided content itself is made possible.

So if useful individual pieces of information are provided by the information service, it is usual to enrich the knowledge service in the following areas:

  • Provision of complete dossiers (prepared information)
  • Provision of simulation functions
  • Provision of project management and further processing functions for the delivered content
  • Providing on-site or off-site support
  • Update guarantees etc.
