A knot (knot) is a road construction solution in Norway

The Knuten near Geiranger makes a 270 ° loop to reduce the incline of the road. It is part of the old Geirangerstraße, completed in 1889, and has been preserved as a sight . The Knuten itself was built in 1882 under the direction of Ole Knudsen Moen .

The new Geirangerstraße was led past Knuten through a rock opening on the left.
