Kobukuro
Kobukuro ( Japanese コ ブ ク ロ ) is a Japanese band that was founded in 1998, they had their debut in 2001. The band name is a combination of the two family names, Kentarō Kobu chi and Shunsuke Kuro da.
Members
- Kentarō Kobuchi ( 小 渕 健 太郎 ) He was born on March 13, 1977. He plays the guitar and other instruments. He is the second singer.
- Shunsuke Kuroda ( 黒 田 俊 介 ) He was born on March 18, 1977. He is the main singer.
history
In May 1998, Kuroda and Kobuchi met for the first time in Sakai near Osaka . Kobuchi was a trader who held concerts on the street every Saturday. Kuroda was a physical education teacher and a street musician. In September 1998 Kobuchi offered Kuroda a song and saw that Kuroda was not a trained guitar player. Kobuchi became the guitarist in the group. This is how Kobukuro was founded.
Kobukuro signed a contract with Warner Music Japan in 2001. They made their debut with the single "YELL", which reached 4th place on the Oricon charts .
