Kobushi Factory ( Japanese こ ぶ し フ ァ ク ト リ ー , Eng. "Magnolia Factory ") was a Japanese girl group under the Hello! Project , which consists of members of the Hello! Pro Kenshūsei arose. It was founded on January 2nd, 2015. The group name alludes on the one hand to the Kobushi magnolia , on the other hand to a clenched fist (also Kobushi in Japanese ). The second part of the name, Factory , creates a connection to the Berryz Kobo group , as Kobo can be translated as “workshop”. As Berryz Kobo took a break from announcing the new group, Kobushi Factory are seen as their successors. Kobushi Factory's sister group, Tsubaki Factory , also takes on this role.

As part of the winter concert of Hello! Projects were introduced to the new members. The group got its name on February 25th. During the Hello! Pro Kenshūsei on March 8, 2015, Ayaka Hirose was named group leader. The subleader position is fulfilled by Rio Fujii. All members took part in the play "Weekend Survivor". In this context, they released their first single "Nen ni wa Nen / Survivor", which was sold locally and later on the Internet. On December 30, 2015, Kobushi Factory was nominated for the Newcomer Award at the 57th Japan Record Awards, which the group ultimately won. Her second musical, "JK Ninja Girls" (JK ニ ン ジ ャ ガ ー ル ズ), was filmed and opened on July 17, 2017 in Japanese cinemas. Before the broadcast, Rio Fujii was fired for breach of contract. Two months later, on September 6th, Rena Ogawa left the group due to an anxiety disorder . Natsumi Taguchi also left the group a little later.

At the beginning of January 2020 it was announced that the group would split up after a last concert on March 30, 2020.
