Kohlstübich

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kohlstübich was an Austrian volume and coal measure .

The measure replaces the coal sack, known as the "black sack", and was introduced as a legal measure on December 1, 1570. It was primarily intended to be used for charcoal and was used frequently, so it was given a gupf.

  • 1 Kohlstübich = 2 Metzen = 1 Some = 2 Mine = 3 Pint = 1 Coppi = 6 Star = 6729.1776 Viennese cubic inches

It was mandatory to check this dimension every two years, paying attention to the so-called maker's mark.
