Kolbastı , also known as Faroz Kesmesi or Hoptek , is a Turkish solo or group dance that is mainly danced in the cities of Trabzon and Akçaabat County . For a few years now, the dance has also been popular all over Turkey.

According to a popular legend, the dance originated in the 1930s when auxiliary troops of the Turkish police , the so-called Kolluk Kuvvetleri , stormed festivals. The dance originated in Trabzon. The name of the dance comes from the abbreviation of the warning shout Kolluk kuvvetleri bastı! what arose about The police is on the march! or police raid! means. The word bastı is derived from the verb basmak , which means “to storm” or “to press”.
