The Kolibri 560 is a small cabin sailor from the Netherlands , which was designed by GA Pfeiffer in 1963 and built by Antoon van den Brink since 1964 at the shipyard. The boat has a length of 560 cm (500 cm fiber optic cable ) and width of 210 cm. The draft is 110 cm.

The great success of the keelboat , which was largely made of plywood, was particularly successful in the Netherlands , not least because the sailor was also available as an inexpensive kit. More than 1,000 units had been sold by the end of the 1970s. The successor models were unable to build on this success, and in the 1980s the shipyard went through difficult times. Only with the introduction of the Kolibri 900 in 1985 did the situation improve. The Stompwijk-based company has been manufacturing the Kolibri 560 as a plastic version (nickname: Polybri) since 2007.

Furnishing

The Kolibri 560, which is spacious for its dimensions, has four berths, of which in practice only two can be used permanently. Despite the small size, there is a galley and toilet on board. The good-natured but not unsportsmanlike family boat was noticeably discovered by duo and solo sailors in the period that followed.
