Collegiate Foundation St. Willibald (Eichstätt)
St. Willibald Eichstätt is a former collegiate monastery in Eichstätt in Bavaria in the diocese of Eichstätt .
history
The Domannex-Stift was founded in 1276 by Bishop Hildebrand; it was dissolved in 1806 in the course of secularization . The monastery did not have its own church, but used the west choir in Eichstätt Cathedral, which is also known as the Willibald Choir, based on the relics of the first bishop of Eichstätt, later canonized Willibald von Eichstätt .
