Kolskaya

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kolskaya was a drilling platform from Arktikmorneftegasraswedka , which was built in 1985 in Finland near Rauma-Repola (since 1999 Metso ).

On December 18, 2011, the platform was towed through the sea. This was a violation of the safety regulations, as the manufacturer had expressly prohibited towing the platform in winter conditions. During a storm in the Sea of Okhotsk , the platform sank 200 km from the Sakhalin coast. Of the 67 workers, only 14 could be saved.
