Kometal Gjorče Petrov Skopje was a women's handball club from the north Macedonian city of Skopje .
history
The association was founded in 1979 under the name RK Gjorče Petrov . In 1994 the name sponsor Kometal Trade got involved. Between 1993 and 2009, the women's team won the Macedonian Championship 17 times and the Macedonian Cup 16 times. Kometal Gjorče Petrov won the EHF Champions League in 2002 . Furthermore, the club was in the final of the Champions League in 2000 and 2005.
In 2008 the main sponsor decided to end its commitment. As a result, some top performers left the club. In March 2009, the team from Skopje lost a home game in the Macedonian league for the first time. In 2011 the association disbanded.
