The Communists of Russia (KR) ( Russian Коммунисты России ) is a communist party founded in Russia in 2012 .
history
On May 23, 2009, the founding congress took place, at which the communists of Russia founded themselves as a non-profit organization .
On April 22nd, 2012 it was decided at the 3rd congress of the organization to transform the organization into a political party .
Participation in elections
In the 2016 Duma elections , the party achieved 2.28%. Since they did not make it through the nationwide 5 percent threshold , the Russian communists did not enter the Russian State Duma .
In the 2018 gubernatorial elections in Samara Oblast , the party achieved 4.03%. Vitaly Kirsanov thus lost with 46,030 votes.
In February 2017, the party's Central Committee announced the standardization of party chairman Maxim Suraikin as a candidate for the 2018 presidential election . Suraikin's goal was to come in at least second place and thus defeat Zyuganov's large Communist Party of the Russian Federation . He did not achieve this with 499,306 votes and thus 0.68%.
Relations with the Communist Party of the Russian Federation
The organization was founded as an alternative to the Communist Party . The communists of Russia criticize Gennady Zyuganov and believe that the Communist Party under his leadership will not be able to regain power it has lost. Some former members of the Communist Party's Politburo left as a result of the conflict with the leadership.
