Compast maker

Compast makers processed vegetables for consumption purposes and supplied the urban population with their products, such as sour and sweet cabbage, cabbage and pickled beets. In the Viennese civil rights of 1488, the compast maker is registered as a manufacturer of pickled sauerkraut .
