Koneko (Japanese for kitten ) is a bimonthly German-language magazine from raptor publishing GmbH , which mainly deals with anime , manga , video games and cosplay .

The magazine has been published since 2004 with a circulation of 55,000 copies. The editorial manager is Marcus Menold, former editor-in-chief of the magazine Club Nintendo , MausKlick and others. The magazine's sections include, for example, manga and anime presentations, reports from the music scene, game presentations, drawing workshops, artist portraits and dōjinshi by unknown artists and manga by well-known artists. With a total of 100 pages, one issue of Koneko costs 4.95 euros.

The Koneko deals mainly with all manga and anime genres, as well as Japanese culture and pop culture. Other manga and Japan-related magazines from raptor publishing GmbH include peach , Anime Party , J * beat , Readers Choice and dokidoki .

In April 2012 there was a change at J * beat . In the second half it contains K * beat as an integrated booklet that deals with Korean music. Shortly afterwards, the magazine K * bang appears , which not only deals with Korean music but also with the country's culture.

December 2014 the raptor Publishing in cooperation with the largest published German Sailor Moon ! Community, Sailor Moon German, a special issue on Magical Girl named Koneko M .

In 2015 the raptor publishing publishing house published a new special magazine. Chibi Koneko , an A5 sized best-of magazine about Koneko, which is distributed free of charge at various German anime conventions. In addition, this magazine is offered as Chibi Koneko TOUCH in a deluxe version (with stickers, postcards and a soft touch cover) in the online shop. At the end of 2015, the new special Koneko S will be published that deals with Shōnen anime
