Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten

In Flanders, the name Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten (KASK) refers to educational institutions for visual arts at university level. They were set up as departments at the newly founded universities in the course of the Flemish higher education reform in the 1990s . The corresponding training institutions for performing arts and music at the universities are known as the Koninklijk Conservatorium . In addition, there are still some painting and drawing schools that are also adorned with the addition of "Koninklijk".
