Headphones is the second album by the hip-hop duo Fiva & Radrum . It was also the first that they released Headphone Recordings through their own record company . Back (to the Future) had been released as a pre-release single a year earlier. The graphic artist Matthias Friedrich alias resma was responsible for the artwork . The cover as well as the entire artwork are kept in a psychedelic style; you can see a drawing of Fiva and Radrum on the cover, looking in opposite directions. A pair of slightly disfigured headphones floats above them , while a large, yellow blob and black plants appear in the background. The songs mostly contain socially critical and melancholy texts. The beats are mostly very dark.

reception

Fiva said in an interview in 2006 that she viewed the album as an increase in performance over its predecessor, Spiegelschrift . It was discussed in bookstores, which is rather untypical for the hip-hop genre, as Fiva regularly takes part in poetry slams in addition to her work as a rapper . In addition, the duo had found that selling in music stores was very difficult.
