First sentence

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As a header of the first is set to a Sonata or Symphony designated. In the majority of cases it takes the form of a sonata movement and is usually the thematically most substantial movement of the entire work. The counterbalance, at least in a symphony, is the final movement, which for this reason is also often built like a sonata main movement or a modification of it.
