Copigraphy

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kopigrafie is a relatively new, less common graphical technology. The copigrapher works, in combination with other media, mainly with the photocopier (in black and white and color). Intervening in the photocopying process (e.g. pulling the picture, opening the cover ...) and using the functions of the device (e.g. mosaic, zoom, brightness ...) result in non-reproducible effects that are amplified or reduced by repeating the processes be weakened. Due to the technology of the copier, which is becoming more and more precise, the artist is restricted in his range of actions, since modern photocopiers are specially designed for precise and error-free reproduction.

Copigraphy is not widely used as an art form in Europe. Better known as Copy Art , it is more popular in English-speaking countries, especially in Canada and the USA.
