Korn / Ferry International (NYSE: KFY) is the largest integrated executive search and talent management consultancy in the world. The company employs around 7,000 people worldwide in 88 offices in Europe, North and South America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Korn / Ferry operates the business in three business units: Korn Ferry (Executive Search), Korn Ferry Hay Group (Leadership & Talent Consulting, Compensation and Function Evaluation, Organizational Consulting) and Korn Ferry Futurestep (Professional Search, Recruitment Process Outsourcing).

history

The company was founded in Los Angeles in 1968 by Richard Ferry and Lester Korn, two former partners of KPMG's predecessor, Marwick Mitchell. The company is currently run by Gary Burnison, a former partner of KPMG. In June 2009, Korn / Ferry acquired the London-based recruitment consultancy Whitehead Mann, a leading talent management company known for its contacts at executive and supervisory board level and many prominent customers throughout Europe. In January 2010, Korn / Ferry acquired McLean, Virginia-based SENSA Solutions, a leading management consultancy for management and organizational development solutions. In January 2013 Korn / Ferry acquired PDI Ninth House, the world's leading provider of leadership solutions. PDI advises and supports companies in the recruitment and development of executives. In 2015, Korn / Ferry took over Hay Group, a global HR and talent consultancy, for $ 452 million.

Since June 19, 2019, Korn / Ferry has been the main sponsor and namesake of the second level of the PGA Tour for professional golfers in the USA.

Location in Germany

In Germany, Korn / Ferry has had a presence in Frankfurt am Main since the late 1970s. The company is one of the leading recruitment consultancies for top management in Germany and is led by the managing director Hubertus Graf Douglas, according to the ranking of Wirtschaftswoche, one of the leading recruitment consultants for German industry and medium-sized industrial companies. The company employs around 260 people in Germany.

Location in Switzerland

Korn Ferry has also had a presence in Switzerland since 1987. For Korn Ferry, the Zurich office is an international platform of excellence. In Zurich, Korn Ferry employs 70 people from 15 nations who work for national and international customers in the industrial, financial services, life sciences, consumer goods, technology and not-for-profit sectors. The managing director of Korn Ferry Switzerland is Stefan Steger.
