Kpessi (also: Kpesi , Kpétsi ) is the language of the Kpessi people of the same name .
Most of them live in Togo . Kpessi is one of the Kwa languages and is threatened with extinction.
The information on the number of speakers is estimated at around 4,000 (SIL 2002) people. In Togo they live mainly in the Centrale region in the Mono prefecture in the Kpessi and Nyamassila cantons and in the Blitta prefecture in the Langabou canton.
