Frying pliers
The frying pliers are a hand tool in glazing and are used to clean and correct glass edges.
It belongs to the Glaser pliers , as well as the glass breaking pliers or three-point glass breaking pliers . Under frits refers to the absence or break away from glass . Whether the glass has to be cut beforehand depends on the type of glass, the shape and size to be machined, as well as the tools and craftsmanship.
The crimping pliers, about 15 centimeters in length, are unhardened or slightly oil-hardened on the jaws, so that slipping due to hard cutting on the working edge is avoided. The handles are now plastic-coated.
The frying pliers can take the form of a
- Side cutter with cutting edges or one
- Tile tongs with short flat jaws or one
- Flat nose pliers with long jaws
to have. Different jaw widths, mouth widths or cutting edges expand the range of application. In selected products, a return spring enables the pliers to open automatically.
