Hospital library

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A hospital library is a library specially designed for the needs of a hospital . In most cases, this means patient libraries. In addition, there are libraries for the needs of medical staff, which represent a form of specialist libraries with transitional forms to the university library (in university hospitals ). As a rule, patient libraries and specialist medical libraries are independent institutions due to the different target groups; but there are also some hospitals in which both are combined in one hospital library.
