Patient Library is a hospital library specifically aimed at patients .

The offer is similar to that of city and church libraries , but focuses primarily on entertainment literature .

For patients, the patient library is not infrequently one of the few ways to make everyday hospital life a little more varied. For patients who cannot leave their room on their own, a selection is often made from room to room.

It is in the nature of a patient library that the books are intended for patients only. Library cards , lending fees are usually not applicable. The books must be returned at the latest on discharge.
