Krasounas

Krasounas ( Greek Κρασούνας ( m. Sg. ), Derived from the Greek word Krasi for wine) is a village in the Cretan municipality of Mylopotamos on the northern slope of Psiloritis .

Krasounas is located at an altitude of 240 m in an agricultural hilly landscape with numerous olive and vineyards .

As a preserved "traditional settlement" (Παραδοσιακός οικισμός) with some Venetian building elements, the place has been under protection since 1978.
