District school building fund

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kreisschulbaukasse is a special purpose fund of Lower Saxony districts for the financing of school construction measures (Section 117 Lower Saxony School Act ). From it both counties and kreisangehorige get communities grants for their school construction projects. The grants can be non-refundable grants or loans.

Two thirds of the funds from the district school building fund are raised by the districts and one third by the districts and joint municipalities . The district school building fund is administered by the districts.

The district school building fund can be abolished if all municipalities in the district agree.

After the abolition, all municipalities have to bear the full cost of construction and repairs themselves.
