Kreuzkirche (Roth)
The Kreuzkirche Roth is an Evangelical Lutheran church in the city of Roth .
The Kreuzkirche Roth was built in 1625, on the cemetery that has existed since 1533. In the Thirty Years Warthe interior of the Kreuzkirche was destroyed. The services could not take place again until 1657. Numerous repairs and extensions were carried out in the 18th century, followed by a thorough renovation in 1869. A new organ was also installed during the renovation. In 1971/72 a general renovation followed and a new organ was built. On June 12, 2011, the Kreuzkirche had to close for renovation, the reasons were damage to the roof structure and the tower wobbled when the bell rang. The renovation was actually supposed to take place from June 12, 2011 to the 2nd Advent, but was not completed because the damage to the roof structure was greater than expected. After the winter break, the renovation could be continued in 2012. On July 29, 2012, the Kreuzkirche was reopened after a year.
