The Bermuda National Stadium is a sports complex at Devonshire Parish , Bermuda . It is located on the eastern outskirts of the capital Hamilton .
Soccer
The main stadium is currently mainly used for soccer games. It seats 8,500 spectators. Until 2009 it was the home ground of the Bermuda Hogges , which compete in the USL Second Division .
Cricket
There is also a cricket stadium, which is the home stadium of the Bermuda national cricket team. The first documented cricket game was played there on April 14, 1956. On 28/29 April 1972, Bermuda's first first-class match took place at the same location . Opponent was New Zealand , who won with one innings and 31 runs. It wasn't until 2004 that the next first-class match took place in this stadium, this time against the USA. Since 2009, several List-A games and Twenty20 matches have also been played there.
