War memorial coin 1813 (Hanover)

The War Memorial Medal for 1813 on 11 May 1841 by King Ernst August of Hanover donated and could be given to all persons who had voluntarily joined the army in the war of liberation against Napoleon to fight.

The medal is a bronze cross. The royal crown can be seen on the upper arm of the cross and the year 1813 on the lower arm . In the medallion there are the initials of the founder EAR (Ernst August Rex) and the year 1813 again surrounded by a laurel wreath on the back .

The decoration was worn on a white ribbon with yellow side stripes on the left chest.
