War wedding

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A war wedding is a form of marriage between a woman and a soldier in times of war in a greatly simplified procedure that can be carried out in a very short time without any effort. For example, you can dispense with the bid or you can have a remote wedding. Re-weddings after the soldier's death are ineffective, but the bride is treated like a widow .

During the Second World War , war weddings were often rewarded with special rations.
