Cubictoise
The Kubiktoise , also toise cube , was a French measure of space. The basis was the old French measure of length, the Toise .
After the meter was defined as a length of exactly 443.296 Parisian lines in 1799 , the Parisian foot had a length of exactly 4500 ⁄ 13853 meters (≈ 32.48 cm). Previously, the measure was subject to regional fluctuations, and accordingly the volume measures derived from it, Parisian cubic feet and cubic feet.
- 1 cubic sound = 216 Parisian cubic feet = 216 × 4500 × 4500 × 4500 ⁄ 13853 × 13853 × 13853 m³ = 19,683,000,000,000 ⁄ 2,658,468,401,477 m³ ≈ 7.403887 cubic meters
