A ball holding forceps is a gripping tool for small items, which form requires otherwise difficult positionable would (z. B. a ball). Ball holding forceps are usually assembled crosswise. This has the advantage that they are self-retaining without being compressed; they are only pressed together to release the held object. This makes it easier for the user to handle additional tools.

Ball holding forceps are made from different materials. In medicine and piercing, they are made of stainless steel so that they can be sterilized. In technology, these tools made of titanium and other non-conductive materials can also be used.
