A ball head coupling K 80 is a towing device that is used on tractors . It consists of a sphere with a diameter of 80 mm. The counterpart on the trailer is lowered by a support wheel or support leg or a hydraulic articulated drawbar (on loading wagons). The parts are then held together by a bolt located above the ball.

The deep hitching facility and the large-area, play-free connection of trailer and tractor are advantageous. As with all couplings, this also requires regular maintenance. It is suitable for high drawbar loads, but it must be maneuvered precisely when attaching. In contrast to car ball heads, there is no locking below the coupling.

A K50 ball on the side of the K80 makes it possible to couple the forced steering devices in a stable and play-free manner.
