Piton Fix coupling with trailer

A Piton-Fix , even Piton Fix , Pitonfix or Zugzapfenkupplung is a hitch , mainly on tractors is used. Similar to the hitch coupling or the K 80 ball head coupling, it belongs to the bottom attachments.

It consists of a cylindrical receptacle on the tractor and a lock by a bolt located across it.

As a rule, the Piton-Fix coupling is rigidly attached. The advantage is the deep attachment option, the disadvantage is that the trailer has to be lowered onto the coupling with the aid of a support wheel.

The prerequisite is a special towing eye on the trailer, which must have a larger diameter than the usual 40 mm. Drawbar eyes that correspond to DIN 9678 (ISO 5692) are permitted.
