Balling
A Kugelung or ballot (of . French ballotte: small ball or . Engl ballot: Election Ball ) is a secret ballot of different colors through the hidden tax balls (eg .: white ball = yes; black ball = no.). It is mostly used in a co-option or runoff election .
In some languages this term is generally used for the runoff ballot.
Ballotage was first introduced by the Benedictines to elect an abbot in the early Middle Ages , albeit forerunners such as B. the shards court , an ancient form of court hearing in which one used shards with incised names for voting, were already widespread in antiquity. At many academies of science , at traditional carnival associations such as the Kölner Rote Funken , as well as in Freemasonry , the Odd Fellows , the Schlaraffen , the casual society of Munich and the Druid Order , she is (partly) still in favor of the decision about the Admission to the community is common.
Blackballing
Blackballing is a form of voting in English gentleman's clubs in which members throw black or white balls into an urn to decide whether to accept new members. A single black ball is enough to deny entry to the person concerned. This form of voting is rarely used today.
